  What is the YLM-FundMe platform?

YLM-FundMe provides a crowdfunding platform for organizations who want to create fundraising campaigns. YLM-FundMe campaigns collect donations and promote their donors on their web site and on related community directories.

  How does it work?

Organizations sign up for a YLM-FundMe campaign and place a widget on their web site. Visitors to the organization's web site can then click on the Donate button to contribute funds.

  What does the campaign get?

Each campaign is given their own online directory made up of businesses and individuals who have contributed to the campaign. Donations are credited to campaign's PayPal account immediately.

  What does the campaign cost?

Setting up a campaign is free and there is no monthly fee. YLM-FundMe will deduct 10% from each donation. Paypal also charges a fee to process each transaction. Typically their fee is 2.9% plus $0.30 per donation. There are no other fees.

  What does the donor get?

Besides knowing they are contributing to a cause they believe in, donors can choose to have their sponsorship displayed in both the online campaign directory and in local YLM community directories. A sponsorship icon will be displayed as part of the business's online listing.

  Why do people contribute to organizations?

People contribute to campaigns for many reasons, but usually it’s because they want to support the organization, use the web presence of the organization to promote their own business and to showcase their support on the official partner directories.

  Can I create my own YLM-FundMe directory?

Yes, it is easy to create and can be done online.

  Do I have to be a registered charity?

The YLM-FundMe platform can be used by registered charities, not for profit organizations, sports teams/associations or by simple community based groups who need to raise funds.

You will need to fill in a few details about your campaign and then, once the fundraising campaign is created, we generate some html code that you can paste into your organizations web site. We provide you with a full range of reports and tools to track and manage your campaign.

Once the donation has been received, you have the option of highlighting your business on the organizations YLM-FundMe directory and recognition of sponsorship can be indicated on the YLM community partner (City/Town/BIA/Chamber etc...) directory.

  Is anyone in the world able to create a campaign?

YLM is an international platform, so anyone wishing to start a fundraising campaign is allowed. Directories are in English and funds can collected in either US or Canadian Dollars.

  What do I need to do to have a successful campaign?

There are many factors that contribute to a successful fundraising campaign. The most important is to prominently display the search box on your web site, let your members know to use the directory and promote directory contributions. And don't forget to use existing social media like facebook and twitter to increase awareness of your campaign!
