L'Association Canadienne-Française de l'Alberta, régionale de Wood Buffalo, a été officiellement fondée en 1980, son but étant de promouvoir le bien-être culturel, intellectuel, social et économique des canadiens français. Depuis plus de 30 ans, elle est au service de la communauté francophone (estimée à environ 10% de la population de Fort McMurray). L'Association compte plus de 350 membres.
