Mohawk Island Lighthouse (Gull Island)
Withstanding Lake Erie's fury for over 140 years, this seven story tower and keeper's house has been unmanned since 1932. The island is home & rookery to hundreds of shore birds. The public is not encouraged to visit the island during the nesting period (April 1-August 1). The best view of the lighthouse is from Rock Point Provincial Park observation platform.
