Midland Harbour/Town Dock

The protected, deep water harbour of Midland Bay is pertinent to the Town’s growth and development. Without its harbour, Midland would not be the same today if it even existed at all. The presence of the harbour not only influenced the selection of Midland as the terminus of the Midland Railway in 1871, but it also attracted many early settlers to the area.
