Located in the City of Oshawa, UOIT’s award-winning campus features a state-of-the-art library, Science building, and Business and Information Technology building as well as a new OPG Engineering building that is scheduled to open in September 2006. To meet the university’s rapid growth, the Automotive Centre of Excellence, a partnership with General Motors of Canada Ltd., is also scheduled to open in the spring of 2008. Over 3,000 students have enrolled at Ontario’s only laptop-based university since UOIT opened its doors in 2003. Students enjoy over 30 innovative programs in high-demand areas such as Business and Information Technology, Education, Engineering and Applied Science, Energy Systems and Nuclear Science, Health Sciences, Science, and Social Science which offers programs such as Criminology and Justice, Police Studies and Correctional Studies.
