STaR is a small materials testing laboratory specializing in cold-formed steel structural products for the construction industry. This company was formed to provide structural testing for new and innovative sheet steel building products that cannot be designed using the current standards.Typical products include cold-formed steel framing members (e.g. joists, studs), specialty connectors (e.g. clip angles, deflection track), or composite slab systems. STaR is accredited under the ISO 17025 quality standard and approved for various test procedures, with particular emphasis on products being tested to support an application to ICC-ES for an evaluation report.
