Think Plastics Inc. is an innovative privately owned Canadian company based in New Hamburg. It is making a significant positive impact on Ontario's environment by collecting used agricultural bale wrap and greenhouse film from across south central Ontario and recycling the materials into two finished products: Baleboard® and Nusheet.Millions of pounds of the polyethylene films are sold each year in Ontario alone, and until the Think Plastics collection program began, the scrap was landfilled or worse yet - burned! As of January 2009, the company had collected almost 2-million pounds of scrap PE from within a 200-mile radius of its New Hamburg plant.Baleboard® and Nusheet are ideal "green" products for the commercial, industrial, agricultural, marine and residential markets.Nusheet is an off-white flexible sheet available in three thicknesses, made entirely from recycled greenhouse film. Nusheet can be fastened with nails or screws, or laminated to plywood. It can be used to line barns, sheds, garages, boathouses, shelves, even for concrete forms.Baleboard® is a solid PE lumber available in five sizes and two colours. It is NOT a composite as it contains no wood or other fillers. This makes it mold and mildew resistant, and it is not slippery when wet. Baleboard® can be used in any non-load bearing application as a replacement to wood or composites. Extensive laboratory testing proves Baleboard's superior strength and versatility, making it ideal for everything from outdoor furniture to retaining walls, from decks to docks, from skids and pallets to sports stadium seating. Its uses are virtually up to the imagination!
