Blue Cheese Pottery

edit this listing
Blue Cheese Pottery is located on the north shore of Lake Ontario in historic Port Hope, Ontario, Canada. The name ‘Blue Cheese Pottery’ was inspired by an earlier sculptural piece I made which my classmates felt resembled a chunk of blue cheese. Production is done in the home studio, where I have adopted a more ‘experiential’ tradition in pottery. The small heated studio is equipped with a double sink with a Gleco Trap, a wheel, a slab roller and lots of pottery gadgets, clay, under glazes and glazes. I have had to expand into the adjoining garage with my 2 kilns, dry materials and equipment. There’s never enough space! A small work area is set up in our basement, dedicated to the tile production.
