We are based in a territory where there is an active commandment of a lumber company with copious presence of clear cuts. These areas happen to be favorite habitat of bears who are lured to clear cuts because berries, they love, grow in abundance. They gorge on berries and other food to store them in advance, so that it becomes easy to pass the harsh, cold winter. Bears are voracious eaters, as is evident from the amount of food laid on the baits. Moreover, it's great fun to hunt in a territory which has been less frequented by bear hunters in the past.
