Dr. Keon Nia graduated from University and Medical school at the University of Toronto amongst the top of his class and was the recipient of numerous scholarships. He held honours standing throughout all four medical years. He then specialized and completed residency in ophthalmology at the University of Toronto. During residency, he made an important contribution to the field of low vision and published his findings in the Canadian Journal of Ophthalmology.
