Poets' Society of Hastings County North

edit this listing
The Poets’ Society of Hastings County North was created by Kathy Figueroa, in September, 2010. It started as a Facebook page that was intended as a way for writers in the northern part of Hastings County, Ontario, Canada, to keep in touch and share written work, as well as info about events. Over the years, it has evolved into a writers’ group that meets regularly in the North Hastings area. Folks with an interest in the literary arts started meeting monthly at the Bancroft Public Library, from December, 2012, until July, 2015. As of August, 2015, the group moved to the new, larger, and more spacious Hasting Highlands Public Library, in Maynooth. In September, 2015, it joined the Algonquin Arts Council as a Member Group.
