Dr. Haaranen studied at the University of Waterloo and graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Kinesiology in 1990. While in her 2nd year of a co-op program at University she had to find employment related to Kinesiology to complete the work-term and earn credit. A few phone calls to local chiropractors resulted in an office position with Dr. George Hickson. Dr. Haaranen knew this was her “calling” within a few short weeks. She continued to work with Dr. Hickson until she graduated from University. Dr. Haaranen attended the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in Toronto and became a Doctor of Chiropractic in May 1994. Her career as a chiropractor began in Calgary in 1994 as the clinic director at Monterey Park Chiropractic Clinic.
