The Near North Mobile Media Lab is a non-profit arts organization specializing in supporting media arts practice in northern Ontario from its headquarters in the Capitol Centre, downtown North Bay, and also as a mobile unit. This encompasses independent artists and filmmakers practicing in contemporary multimedia and time-based mediums. N2M2L focuses its support by providing three areas of assistance: Presentation: This includes screenings, festivals, exhibitions, performances and web-based presentations of media artworks. N2M2L supports a wide range of artists both locally and abroad at every stage in their career while allowing northern audiences the opportunity to experience and enjoy contemporary media art.
