Ruthven Park, designated a National Historic site in 1998, is a stately 1500 acres (647 hectares) property on the Grand River. Ruthven Park was the former home to the Thompson family for 150 years and was donated to the Lower Grand River Land Trust in 1994 to protect as a natural and cultural resource for the public to enjoy. Ruthven Park is now open for mansion tours during May to October and Christmas. Special events throughtout the year. Tours (pre-booked) available year round.
