Christ Church Waubaushene Memorial Church

edit this listing
This Church was built by employees of the Georgian Bay Lumber Company in memory of their General Manager, Theodore W. Buck, and through the generosity of the Dodge Family of Pennsylvania, who owned the company. Over the years it was called Waubaushene Memorial Church and Waubaushene United Church, and provided a beautiful place of worship for Church of England, Presbyterian, Methodist, and United Church congregations. Known as the Christ Church by the Anglican Church of Canada, the building is constructed of white pine board and batten, and the interior is finished with ash. It is the only public building in Waubaushene that is still being used for its original purpose.
