Simcoe County Archives, Ontario's first County archives, was established in 1966. Since then, it has grown into an 18,000 square foot facility staffed by 6-8 staff devoted to collecting, preserving, and making available the documentary heritage of the County of Simcoe and its constituent lower-tier municipalities, and the separated cities of Barrie and Orillia.
