Simcoe County Archives, Ontario's first County archives, was established in 1966. Since then, it has grown into an 18,000 square foot facility staffed by 6-8 staff devoted to collecting, preserving, and making available the documentary heritage of the County of Simcoe and its constituent lower-tier municipalities, and the separated cities of Barrie and Orillia. If you've got any historical material that you'd like to donate, please contact us at archives@simcoe.ca. The Archives is usually open to the public for research into the County's rich history.'
