The Banting Homestead Heritage Park is the birthplace of Sir Frederick Banting, co-discoverer of insulin and Canada's first Nobel Laureate. The 107-acre site is the home base of the Sir Frederick Banting Legacy Foundation and includes their Diabetes Management and Education Centre complex and exhibit venues (www.bantinglegacy.ca) Tours are available on request.
