Elora Quarry Conservation Area

The centre of attention is the 0.8 ha (two acre) limestone quarry encircled by sheer cliffs up to 12 metres (40 feet) high. The tree-covered park has places to picnic and enjoying nature. Note that alcohol and dogs are not allowed at this park. We have taken steps to improve the experience for visitors to Elora Quarry this summer. We have increased our focus on public safety and the overall environmental impact to the park. The maximum daily capacity at the Quarry is 1,300 guests. On days when maximum capacity is reached, we encourage you to visit our other nearby parks such as Elora Gorge (which has a splash pad), Belwood Lake, and Guelph Lake, as well as other local attractions in town.
