The idea of HealthFare began as a seed of an idea, born from frustration. Creator Mark Bakker was like many people, tired with being offered the same unhealthy choices from fast food restaurants. Fresh, un-processed, healthy, and wholesome food. That's what Mark wanted to see, and even more so wanted to eat. Hungry for change in the restaurant industry, Mark researched, developed and designed the concept behind HealthFare. It became a restaurant with one thing in mind: healthy eating. With the help of top Toronto executive chef Stuart Betteridge, they developed a menu involving a limited number of healthier, fresh ingredients used to create a variety of meal options for everyone.
