“Working Together to Strengthen Community.” Family Services York Region (FSYR) is an amalgamated agency of the three Family Life Centres in York Region. We are committed to building strong communities through the provision of counselling, education and support to promote the well-being of individuals and families. In addition, our Employee Assistance Program (EAP) offers counselling services to employees through contracts with local business industry and service organizations. Our clinical staff are professionals trained in a variety of areas such as social work, psychology, family therapy, art therapy, group counselling and community development. All services are LGBT (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgendered) positive. Fees are assessed on a sliding scale according to the individual’s income and ability to pay. A portion of the fee may be covered by subsidy or insurance. At FSYR we observe confidentiality regarding client information and respect the client’s right to privacy.
